Privacy Policy
Basics / Who We Are
The address of our website is: https://www.teloscircle.com/. This privacy policy is intended to inform users of this website about the nature, scope, and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by Telos Circle (Canettistraße 4/503, 1090 Vienna, telos.circle.official@gmail.com, hereinafter referred to as "the Club").
Telos Circle takes your privacy very seriously and treats your personal data confidentially and in accordance with legal regulations. As new technologies and the continuous development of this website may lead to changes in this privacy policy, we recommend that you review the privacy policy at regular intervals.
Definitions of the terms used (e.g., "personal data" or "processing") can be found in Art. 4 GDPR.
The Club collects, uses, and shares your personal data only if this is permitted within the legal framework or if you consent to the data collection. Personal data includes all information that serves to identify your person and which can be traced back to you - such as name, email address, and telephone number.
You can also visit this website without providing personal information. However, to improve our online service, we store (without personal reference) your access data to this website. This access data includes, for example, the requested file or the name of the internet provider and the IP address. Through the IP address, it is not possible for us to draw conclusions about your person, but it may be assigned to you by the internet provider.
What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It
Comments: To protect your personal data, we have disabled the comment function.
Media: If you are a registered user and upload photos to this website, you should avoid uploading photos with an EXIF GPS location. Visitors to this website could download photos stored on this website and extract their location information.
Event Registrations
To offer registration for events, we collect the following data via an online form:
First and last name
Phone number (for inquiries)
Email address (for sending confirmations, cancellations, and reducing duplicate registrations)
A free text field for comments; if you enter personal data here, it will also be collected
The processing and querying of this data only takes place after explicit consent for processing. The registration data will be kept for a maximum of 180 days after the end of the event and then anonymized.
The objection (see "Your Rights") naturally also entails the loss of any successful registration.
Cookies
We use cookies to temporarily store information during the registration process and error and success messages when sending and managing events.
If you have an account and log in to this website, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will set up some cookies to save your login information and display options. Login cookies expire after two days, and cookies for display options after one year. If you select "Stay logged in" when logging in, your login will be maintained for two weeks. When you log out of your account, the login cookies will be deleted.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Posts on this website may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, posts, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking services, and record your interaction with this embedded content, including your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics Services
We do not use analytics services such as Google Analytics on our website because your privacy is more important to us than the insights that could be gained from them.
Access Data
The Club and our hosting company collect data about access to the website based on our legitimate interest (see Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDPR) and store it as "server log files" on the website's server. The following data is logged:
Visited website
Time at the moment of access
Amount of data sent in bytes
Source/reference from which you came to the page
Browser used
Operating system used
IP address used
The server log files are stored for a maximum of 190 days and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons, e.g., to clarify cases of abuse. If data must be retained for evidentiary purposes, it is exempt from deletion until the incident has been finally clarified.
With Whom We Share Your Data
We generally do not share your data with third parties unless this is required to fulfill legal obligations.
How Long We Store Your Data
For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can view, change, or delete their personal information at any time (the username cannot be changed). Website administrators can also view and change this information.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
As a user, you have the right to receive, upon request, free information about what personal data has been stored about you. You also have the right to correction of incorrect data and to restriction of processing or deletion of your personal data. If applicable, you can also assert your right to data portability. If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you can file a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority.
How We Protect Your Data
We only collect the minimal necessary data to perform our work as your club representation. Access to the administration interface of this website is only granted to Telos Circle staff if maintenance is part of their area of responsibility. Additionally, staff members only receive the authorizations actually necessary for their respective activities.
